We got to go home to Rocklin for Spring Break! The whole family was there so it was a lot of fun. The first couple days we spent in Monterey. On our way there we stopped at the Jelly Belly Factory. It was way too busy so we just stole some tour hats and took pictures.
Lane, Devin and I went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium for a little while, and then we all got lunch and took the 17mile drive. It was absolutely beautiful! Windy, but beautiful.
Compliments of the wind--we got to smell this awful death smell...hence the gagging picture
...little did we know, 20ft away there was this dead sealion.
We were all pretty fascinated with the anchovies going around in a constant circle
Lane has a curse on tires. The week before when he was driving home from Wenatchee, he blew 2 tires! I guess it was just prep for my mom's flat tire on the way home from Monterey. 3 1/2 hour drive turned out to be about 6. ugh
Saturday we went to hang out with the Lambs/Molinas in Sacramento. We played a baseball game at the park and had a nice bbq at Tiffani and Carl's house. The weather was PERFECT!
We forgot about the eggs so Dad, Mom, Britt and I started dying them really late and got a little loopy. The dye was also from the dollar store and it produced some special looking eggs Like I said, it was pretty late. Dad used one of his mugs that Britt made him when she was younger for some dye. We were reading it and it said "Num. 1 Dad" and we started laughing really hard. So Dad's being "Num" in this picture. It was funny, and late...and you had to be there. Lane holds the record for most Tim Tam's eaten in one sitting on his mission. These cookies are Australia's version of Oreos basically. You have to bite off two corners(opposite/diagnal) and dip one bit corner into hot chocolate and suck til the cookie melts. It's just a burst of chocolate-deliciousness. They started selling them in the US last year and Lane got excited to show everyone. Plus, mom's old nickname is "TimmiTam"
