Grumpy Pregnant Lady Entering the Summer...But We're So Excited!

If you don't want to read a pregnant woman's complaints then some of this post is not for you. I should say, I am eternally grateful for this beautiful being growing inside of me and I know there are many women that are not able to have children, but I feel that I still have a right to complain about the annoying parts. I had complaints about being pregnant with Kobe (however, I think I kept most to myself), and maybe it's just because it's a post-back surgery pregnancy, but I am a wimp this time around, and I am sorry to those around me or those who ask how I am feeling and get a grumpy response from me.

On that note, I absolutely love feeling baby Ella move around--feeling her little elbows/knees/bum/feet/fingers/bubble blowing/hiccups/etc. She feels cute! I cannot wait to snuggle her and be able to stare at her. It is oh so uncomfortable though when I feel her little foot get stuck on a rib, or feeling my rib cage expanding, my skin stretching faster than the cells can grow, feeling the baby/my uterus crushing my lungs, my hips moving out, my sciatic nerve being pinched, and my weak back muscles overworking themselves. Not to mention the constant acid that's in my chest. To sum up, I had back pain and acid reflux with Kobe, but I am so much more consistently uncomfortable this pregnancy. I am so winded after making it up the stairs, or getting into the truck, or switching sides I'm laying on in bed. And then add carrying around a 2-year-old... Okay, I'm done complaining I think. Let's just leave it at: I'm beyond ready for this little girl to join us (in the heat of the summer).

Kobe's starting to understand a little bit that his baby sister is growing inside my belly. He knows who "baby Ella" is versus "granny Ella". Well, maybe he doesn't understand it's his sister, but he gets that there's a baby in there and then they magically turn into cute little babies like Blaine and Ruthie, and anyone who is younger than him. He loves babies. He has a hard time sharing toys and attention with kids his own age, but he is gentle with babies and loves giving them kisses. Hopefully it stays that way when his sister is here!

Kobe and I took one last trip to visit my family before I will be traveling with two kiddos. It was a fun trip including lots of family time, two trips to Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm, the beach, an Angel's game, and cousin time for Kobe. I have decided he doesn't do well with traveling. He does okay in the process, but he doesn't act himself when we're not in his element. He throws (extra) tantrums, whines a lot, and isn't as nice to kids around him. It's frustrating for his mom because he's such a sweet little boy usually and then he tries to prove me wrong around people we don't get to see very often. He did a lot of hair pulling, hitting and saying 'no' to Reagan but he did have fun being around her when he wasn't doing that and he talks about RaeRae all the time now. He taught her to love "Cars" and she taught him to love "Frozen." I wish we lived closer! He had fun with his "Mot" (Oma) & "Pop" (Epop). He had fun hanging out with his uncle "Bin" (Devin) too!
They have an awesome "Cars Land" in California Adventure that is designed just like Radiator Springs in the movie. My parents were so excited to take Kobe to it because he's obsessed with the movie. They have cars that drive and talk come around and park at the Cozy Cone Motel so you can take pictures with them. We got to see McQueen and Mater...Kobe was so cute watching them but he was scared to death of them when we went to take pictures with them. My brave little boy, haha.
Aside from Cars Land, It's a Small World was definitely the favorite for Reagan an Kobe. I think we could have sat on that ride all day and they would have been in their 'Happiest Place On Earth!'
Kobe loved meeting the princesses, especially Cinderella!
I wish Trevor could have been there! He's moving down there so next time we go and visit we'll be able to do stuff with all four siblings.
Britt's father-in-law got a suite at the Angel's game for his wife's birthday and extended an invite to us. We scored! I had never done a box suite game so it was awesome with all the free (for us) food and hanging out up there!
Softball season has started for Lane. To say his team is not good this year is an understatement. Hopefully Jack and Jill league will be more fun for me and Kobe to go watch.
Kobe loved going to the Classy Chassis parade and watching all the cool cars.
Devin and Matt get fancy, new cars every few months it seems... Kobe was diggin' it!
Reagan taking selfies
My mom did a sunflower theme in her kitchen so she put Reagan and Kobe's hand prints on the wall to make cute little sunflowers.
Uncle Devin and Epop were a lot of help for this pregnant mama at Disneyland!
His face...
Britt and I spent more time than it should have taken to make this cute flower pot for Mom for Mother's Day.
Epop is such a good grandpa and babysitter.
We got to have breakfast at Mimi's Cafe with Mimi, Poppi, Lyle, Pilar and kids.
There's a beautiful little mountain that overlooks the valley and rivers' confluence by our house called Ohme Gardens. I have been wanting to check it out since I've lived here and finally did with Erin and Russell last weekend. It's gorgeous up there!

Nana is so good with all the grandkids. She teaches them to use their imaginations. We love her!
Lane's birthday was a bit uneventful again this year. Maybe by his 40th I'll get my act together. To my credit though, he was busy all day and the couple weeks surrounding his birthday. We all went to his softball games at night though with cupcakes and donuts. I got him some Mariners tickets for a game in July. Sorry I didn't make 32 more exciting, Lane!
Lane wanted lightning bolts in his hair to go with his mustache and short shorts for a 3x3 tournament in Moses Lake... I love going to watch, but it's getting more difficult with an active toddler, being pregnant and the heat. Kobe and I will be missing Hoopfest this year because of that.

Since the room across the hall from our room is the best for a nursery, we had to cover up the sweet monkeys that my mom and I painted for Kobe. At least I have pictures. Ella's room is going to be adorable too, though!
I found some bookshelves on Pinterest that I really wanted. I showed the picture to Lane and he made them for me. They turned out awesome! I love them in Kobe's room.
He's officially in his own room with a big boy bed downstairs! He loves it. He's been sleeping great too. I'm a little sad that he's so far away and growing up so fast.
Lane and I have been married now for 7 years! I can't believe it's been that long. I can hardly remember what life was like before him. We have had so much fun together and I love that he is my husband and best friend. I can't wait for what our future holds with our adorable babies (or at least one--don't know what the rest will look like, ha).
Kobe likes to copy his big cousin, Rex. Such. A. Boy.
Hanging out with one of his good friends, Lana June
Playing in the dirt, also like Rex!
Waiting patiently to go to church
I love hanging out with this kid. I am so obsessed and seriously cannot put into words how much I love him. I wish that I could have more time with him just by himself, and also have that alone time with each of his siblings. I guess that's just not how it works though when you have more than one kid. Bring on the adventures!
