June 27th---My 21st Birthday

Lane did a great job this year. I think everyone got on his case enough for last year, but he has since made up for it. He spoiled me. We started out celebrating the night before by going to see Transformers and going to dinner. Doug and Cate ate with us, and then we of course played Settlers. He woke me up early on my birthday and I opened my presents. I went to breakfast with my friend Natalie, and then I went to his baseball game and got a little burnt.
He got my 4 pairs of shoes!!, a pair of pants, a dress, a giftcard to a skate shop, and an ipod holder for running. He also made a cheesecake with strawberries and bought some rootbeer (bottles) to go drinking at the park later. That's just how we Mormons do the 21st. Nelson and Nikki, Doug and Cate met us at the park and snacked and laid out for a while.

Then we all played Settlers of Catan...again. We are so very addicted. Then Lane and I went to the cheap theater and watched "Wolverine." He did a good job. I love my hubby. :)

May 31, 2009--1 year anniversary

For our anniversary we went up to Jacksonhole, WY. We stayed in a hotel where all the rooms are separate little cabins. They were pretty darling if you ask me. We just walked around town and ate. We went swimming at our hotel and pigged out on junk food. We celebrated with massages and martinellis. It was a nice relaxing weekend.

We also spent about an hour in the dollar tree picking out our massage scrubs and souvenirs which was actually a highlight of the evening
We ended our time there with eating at Billy's...the most delicious burgers we've ever had.

Mesa/Cave Falls

We planned to go with 4 couples all together but it ended up last minute being just the four of us (me and Lane, Nelson and Nikki). It was a fun, relaxing day...we just drove up and walked around and had a picnic

Lane's Birthday/Softball

Lane turned 26!! What an old man...I had classes during the day on his birthday so he went out to lunch and hung out with a few of his buddies. Later that evening I had a bbq (hamburgers/hotdogs/pasta salad) with all his friends and our softball team (which basically all our friends are on). We had yummy dessert pizza pie and then dominated in our softball game

Our co-ed intramural team name is PRETTY IN PINK We've played 3 games and won 3. We're pretty awesome!

Schooool...

It's only two weeks into the semester and I feel like I am nearing the end with the workload I am carrying. I am taking 19 credits. I'm taking a graphic design class (for fun and to fill credits). It's kicking me in the butt! I enjoy the things we are doing but that class will not let me rest. I think I could manage all my classes pretty well with out that class, or I could get a decent grade in that class with out all my other classes. haha. I'm also taking an intro to drawing class. I like that class but I feel dumb when we are learning how to draw a cube. I thought I could easily draw a 3-D cube...apparently I was wrong!
Lane and I are starting an intramural co-ed softball team with some of our friends. It's going to be a lot of fun. Hopefully I have time to play! Our team name is "Pretty in Pink" (sporting the pink shirts). We'll get pictures up once we start. Lane is also trying to play competitive baseball. He's been substituting basically every day. We definitely feel blessed with all those opportunities. I'm still working a few nights a week.
Well, I don't have much more time to update anything else, however there's not much more to say because my life is school. We'll post pictures whenever we get some!

Easter '09

We got to go home to Rocklin for Spring Break! The whole family was there so it was a lot of fun. The first couple days we spent in Monterey. On our way there we stopped at the Jelly Belly Factory. It was way too busy so we just stole some tour hats and took pictures.

Lane, Devin and I went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium for a little while, and then we all got lunch and took the 17mile drive. It was absolutely beautiful! Windy, but beautiful.

Compliments of the wind--we got to smell this awful death smell...hence the gagging picture
...little did we know, 20ft away there was this dead sealion.

We were all pretty fascinated with the anchovies going around in a constant circle
Lane has a curse on tires. The week before when he was driving home from Wenatchee, he blew 2 tires! I guess it was just prep for my mom's flat tire on the way home from Monterey. 3 1/2 hour drive turned out to be about 6. ugh
Saturday we went to hang out with the Lambs/Molinas in Sacramento. We played a baseball game at the park and had a nice bbq at Tiffani and Carl's house. The weather was PERFECT!
We forgot about the eggs so Dad, Mom, Britt and I started dying them really late and got a little loopy. The dye was also from the dollar store and it produced some special looking eggs

Like I said, it was pretty late. Dad used one of his mugs that Britt made him when she was younger for some dye. We were reading it and it said "Num. 1 Dad" and we started laughing really hard. So Dad's being "Num" in this picture. It was funny, and late...and you had to be there.

Lane holds the record for most Tim Tam's eaten in one sitting on his mission. These cookies are Australia's version of Oreos basically. You have to bite off two corners(opposite/diagnal) and dip one bit corner into hot chocolate and suck til the cookie melts. It's just a burst of chocolate-deliciousness. They started selling them in the US last year and Lane got excited to show everyone. Plus, mom's old nickname is "TimmiTam"
